Airplay System
Airplay System is a native operating system abstraction layer, which enables a single application binary to be loaded and executed on any native platform. For open platforms, Airplay System is packaged and deployed with the single application binary, removing the need to embed anything on the handset. Support for open platforms includes:
- Brew 2.x, 3.x and 4.x
- Symbian Series60 (2nd and 3rd editions)
- Symbian UIQ3
- Nokia N-Gage
- iPhone
- Windows Mobile 5.x and 6.x
- Mobile Linux
- WIPI
- Windows and Linux desktops
Ideaworks Labs adds support for every handset on each of the above platforms as, or even before, they come to market; therefore, creating a future-proof SDK. Additionally, Airplay System can be embedded on closed platforms and generate stunning multi-media performance, even on low-cost hardware, using the same single application binary. Airplay System has already been demonstrated on hardware platforms such as TI OMAP Vox 1030, TI OMAP eCosto and EMP U350.
