Alex Caccia

Career History

In 2004, Alex advised the Cloud, a start-up WiFi hot-spot aggregator.

Alex has founded two companies, Atomic Interactive, a games software business, and WaterRower Limited, a sports-equipment business that remains a profitable world-wide operation.

He joined Sportal, a major European dotcom start-up in 1999, where he was head of the Applications Development team, responsible for developing leading-edge internet technology.

Niall Murphy - CEO

Career History

Niall is an entrepreneur, investor and technologist. He became CEO of Ideaworks3D in April 2010 following an investment round in the company. Niall is principal of Kubu Ventures, which holds a number of mobile and internet technology investments. Niall founded The Cloud, Europe's largest public WiFi network operator.

Tim Closs

Career History

Tim had several 8-bit and 16-bit games published whilst still at school. He gained a Mathematics degree and Theoretical Physics post-grad at Cambridge University before returning to games. After working for five years at Sony, Tim established a successful career as a freelance games programmer, working mainly on PC and X-Box. Tim moved to Ideaworks3D in June 2004, attracted by the company's growing reputation as world leaders in mobile multimedia technology.

Frazer Wilson - Director

Career History

Frazer joined Ideaworks3D, shortly after its incorporation, upon graduating from London Business School's MBA program in 1999. Frazer has variously held the Business Development, CFO and CEO roles at Ideaworks Labs. Previous to joining Ideaworks Labs, Frazer held senior research and technology management positions in high-tech marine and audio / consumer electronics sectors; latterly focussing on technology licensing, which extended into his mobile sector specialisation while at LBS.

Over 13 years of experience in various industries ranging from retail and services to industrial, multinationals to start-ups. Financial controller at DeBeers LV Ltd for 3 years, 2 years as a financial controller at 1e Europe Ltd, 2 years at Simon Ventures International and 5 years at Schneider Ltd.

Rob Taylor-Hendry - VP Ideaworks Games Studio

Rob Taylor-Hendry

Career History

After graduating in 1991 from Central St Martins' London, with an MA in Industrial & Product Design Rob worked for several years within the communication sector developing a range of R&D projects for advanced network based products and services. Rob has been in the games industry since 1997 working in the development and publishing of mobile, PC and console games.

Yasushi Nakamura - VP Business Development APAC

Yasushi Nakamura

Career History

Prior to joining Ideaworks3D in December 2007, Yasushi pioneered game middleware business in Japan for Criterion Software in 1999, which was later acquired by Electronic Arts. He then continued to manage collaborative next-gen game technology development projects for EA, working with the studios worldwide. Yasushi received MSc in Control Systems Engineering from UMIST (University of Manchester).
